Darryl
 H. Clouse, age 64, of Lecanto, Florida, passed away at his home on
September 24, 2016. Darryl was born on September 12, 1952 in Council
Bluffs, Iowa to Pete and Thelma (Bolton) Clouse. Darryl moved to Citrus
County in 1982 and became Director of IT for Citrus County Government, a
position he held until his passing. A master storyteller and lover of
vintage motorcycles, music, baseball, and all things sarcastic, under
Darryl's tough façade laid his true self - a compassionate man with
unwavering love for his family and friends and the first to help an
animal in need.
In addition to his parents, Darryl was preceded in
death by his brothers; Vernon and Ron Clouse; sisters, Maycle Baldwin
and Carole, and husband Larry Cox.
Darryl is survived by his one
daughter and the light of his life, Lindsey Clouse of Washington, D.C.;
his warmhearted long-devoted companion, Susan Bungo of Lecanto, FL; two
brothers, Gordon and his wife Karen Clouse, Robert and his wife Mary
Clouse; and sister-in-law, Toni Clouse.
Private cremation will take
place under the direction of Brown Funeral Home and Crematory in
Lecanto, FL. A Celebration of Life for Darryl Clouse will be held at the
Hampton Room at Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club (formerly Andre's)
on Friday, September 30. Family will be receiving friends at 6 p.m. and
 a service will follow at 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers or cards,
Darryl's wish was to have donations made to an organization that assists
animals. A special fund has been set up in his memory with the Citrus
County Animal Shelter. There is an existing $100,000 trust with the
shelter waiting to be unlocked if matched by your donation. Checks
should be made out to Citrus County, FL c/o Darryl Clouse Animal Trust
Fund (account 671-366900).
