Venancio "Vince" Luna, age 61, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away October 8, 2012, at his home.

He was born April 1, 1951, in Council Bluffs to the late, Paul and Pauline (Garcia) Luna. Vince graduated from Abraham Lincoln with the class of 1970. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Vince retired in 2005 after a career as a professional truck driver.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Tangy Miller.

Vince is survived by his wife, Sandy to whom he married February 9, 1979; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Dean Gutheil; granddaughter, Isabella Perez; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Rosary recitation will be Thursday, 6 p.m., followed by visitation until 8 p.m., at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday 1030 a.m., at the funeral home. Inurnment is in the Grange Cemetery followed by a reception in the community room at Hoy-Kilnoski. The family will direct memorials.
