Married in 1973 during college, stayed in Columbia, MO, after graduation. Taught Dance to 2-5 year olds in a preschool for a year. Wore many hats at a local bank job for 5 years and also was at a corrugated metal pipe fabricator co. (one person office-me) for a year. Helped to raise to very musical daughters-flute, piccolo, oboe, piano, clarinet, bass clarinet, guitar, marimba, xylophone, English handbells and voice. Opened a Custom Picture Framing/Art business with a friend in 1981 (she moved away in 1999). I stayed in business until Dec. 2013, closed the business and retired....32 years. We have a booth at a Columbia antique mall to help get rid of our 'excess' in our collections. However, we still enjoy browsing through flea markets and other antique malls to see what we can find......it's a disease! Now that we've both retired, we decided to spend our winters in FL - bought a house in Englewood in 2011 (on the Gulf between Sarasota and Ft. Myers). I am still active in church activities when we are back in Columbia - English Handbells, budget committee head for Child Development Center at the church. I run a charity email auction every Fall for the preschool and help in other fund raising capacities, when needed, at the church. I enjoy reading, listening to music, swimming, and traveling. We've been to Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy twice, Hawaii twice, Alaska, U.S. Virgin Islands, United Kingdom (England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland), Greece and Turkey. We have a Fall 2015 river cruise on the Danube planned (Budapest, Vienna, etc.). Moved my parents to Lexington, KY, to be near my brother in 2008. Dad passed away in Feb. 2011, but Mom is still going strong at almost 92. She is in a nursing facility in Lexington because of mobility issues, but her mind is usually very sharp! Looking forward to seeing the reunion attendees this late July!
