After teaching high school language arts for five years in Ankeny, Iowa, I spent six years as an editor for an educational publishing company in Des Moines. In 2000, I started freelancing from my home, writing and editing classroom products for educational publishing companies across the country. I now teach writing at Des Moines Area Community College in Boone, Iowa. I have also authored two children's novels (see book signing below), and I market three lines of my own products for language arts classrooms.Mike and I live on 18 acres in the middle of the woods overlooking the Des Moines River Valley, a few miles from Woodward, Iowa.
