After a year at Iowa State, enlisted in the Navy. Stationed in San Francisco, Idaho, Chicago, and South Carolina.

Re-entered ISU in 1976, graduated in 1980, BS Engineering. Worked in Des Moines area until 1984 , then moved to St. Louis area, Festus to be exact. Yes there is a Festus, MO. Moved back to Iowa in 1988.

Hobbies? If you have kids, you know what the hobbies are, especially if they are in sports, band, dance or chorus. All of ours have been or are in at least two. Soccer has become my hobby. Have ref certification for high school soccer and going after my grade 7 FIFA certification. The physical performance test could be a real challenge. Have put on a few pounds, weight 210. Also coach the kids. We won silver at Winter Iowa Games in Indoor Soccer. Being "encouraged" to get my high school coach certificate. Some parents think I would be a good girls coach should the school board approve a girls team for 2001.
