After graduating from Iowa State in 1974, I moved to California where I got a job managing restaurants and competed in ocean swims. After 3 years, I returned to college at USC and received my MBA in 1979. I got a job with CMSI, a gov't IT consulting company providing services to local and county agencies. I worked for CMSI, which was purchased by ACS (based in Dallas) for 27 years. After I left ACS, I got a job as a project manager with Kaiser Permanente in 2008. I received my Professional Project Manager (PMP) in 2009 and I was promoted to program manager in 2012. I enjoy HealthCare IT much more than Gov't IT. I enjoy golf, quilting, spin class and working out at the gym, yoga, old movies, reading, cooking, traveling and of course fine wine. There are over 20 wineries within 15 miles of our home and we belong to three. This summer I am headed to France and Italy for the 2nd time in two years. My favorite winery, Apolloni, sponsors trips each year. The group stays a week at a villa and takes day trips each day, this year, I am going to Paris and Nice before the week at the villa.
