I just retired after spending 35 years at Hallmark Cards as Vice-President of facilities and real estate. During my career at Hallmark I had the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally, including Australia, New Zealand, and western Europe. In the later years I spent most of my time at the Crown Center facility in Kansas City. Pat and I moved to a condo in the Crown Center complex about 10 years ago, and enjoy city living. We've been married for over 42 years. Pat and I raised two sons who now both live and work in Kansas City. They are both married, and between the two of them we have five grandsons, ages 5 and under. Having recently retired, I am enjoying the non-corporate world, but still serve on several not-for-profit boards. We are actively involved in St. John's United Methodist Church where I chair the board of trustees. Sailing occupies a lot of our leisure time. We spend most of our summer weekends on our sailboat in Stockton, Missouri. We have also chartered sailboats in the Caribbean on several occasions. I also enjoy snow skiing, golfing, fishing with my grandsons, and remodeling projects.
