Bruce
P. Canaday was born in Council Bluffs, on September 4, 1952,
to parents George and Libernia Canaday. He was baptized and confirmed
at St.
Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs.
An
avid reader and student in general, he graduated from Abraham
Lincoln High School and entered Concordia College in Seward, Neb., with
an
interest in pastoral ministry and counseling. After college he returned
to
Council Bluffs and worked many years at Cogley Clinic. Afflicted with
diabetes,

pastoral
ministry skills to use leading services and offering comfort and a
friendly ear
to many as his health allowed. He always loved visits from his family
and
church family and especially enjoyed the opportunity to talk theology.
Bruce
entered the Church triumphant on March 21, 2016.
Bruce
was preceded in death by his parents.
He
is survived by Kenneth Vanderziel, Donna Larson-Moran, Sue
Eldridge, Patricia Frost, James Canaday and Jeanne Canaday-Hosier;
numerous
cousins, and a host of friends.
